Cadbury WorldCadbury World opened on 14th August 1990 and remains the only purpose built visitor centre in the UK devoted entirely to chocolate. Botanical Gardens The Birmingham Botanical Gardens were opened in 1832. They were designed by J. C. Loudon, a leading garden planner, horticultural journalist and publisher. National Exhibition Centre (NEC)The NEC is the largest exhbition centre in Europe. It was opened in 1976 by HM The Queen and the first exhbition was the Spring Fair. There are concerts and exhibitions held throughout the whole year. National Indoor Arena (NIA)The NIA Arena is used for concerts and conferences and can house 12,600 people. Black Country MuseumThe Black Country Museum was established in 1975 and is a wonderful collection of history and heritage from the Black Country region.
