The Rover Scout Reunion consists of 10 or more ex scouts. They meet for a long weekend in Birmingham every year and for the past six years have chosen The Madeira Hotel as their rendezvous. They enjoy walks, visiting the Museums and Art Galleries and taking in the many local attractions that Birmingham has to offer. When they return from their excursion they take afternoon tea in the Garden Room. They then return for their evening meal where they plan the next day’s adventure. Having already booked for 2010 they wrote a few comments in our Guests book:

My brother’s 50th Birthday party was held in Selly Oak & all my family live in Tamworth so I had to find accommodation for 10 of us.  We stayed at the Madeira on the Saturday night.  It was just a short taxi ride from the venue (and most others in the area) so scored for us on the convenience side.  In addition to this the hotel was extremely comfortable & the rooms spotless.  We all had en-suite rooms and a cot was provided for the 6 month old baby.  The owner was very helpful and gave us a warm welcome.  On the Sunday morning we all had a huge breakfast & did not have to be up at the crack of dawn as so often happens in some hotels.  Overall we would recommend the Madeira wholeheartedly.
